ABOUT THE PODCAST
Let's Bea Frank started as a podcast before it was anything else. Every episode is a real conversation, mostly with women in business or women with genuinely interesting stories to tell, and every so often an interesting man makes the cut too. No script, no polished PR answers, just their actual story, how they got to where they are, and what it took to get there. Some weeks that's a business built from nothing. Some weeks it's a whole life rebuilt. We're not doing this because everyone needs a podcast right now. We're doing it because some people are worth actually sitting down for.

mAYA'S POSTCARDS OF COPENHAGEN

"I was living in student accommodation with about 500 other students, and that in itself was probably one of my highlights. Living with my friends, which I've never done before, because I live at home."

"It wasn't necessarily a shock, but it was a bit of a revelation. I went overseas and I really surprised myself with my self efficiency.
There's something to be said about being independent at home, and then being independent in a completely different country.
There's just so many things you have to figure out, and I think I really proved something to myself there."

"As Australians living in Europe, you can just be like, let's do a trip to Amsterdam for $150 and be there in an hour. It's a bit crazy."

"Melbourne's busy and ambitious and fast. Copenhagen's much slower, even unapologetically so.
There's this concept, hygge, integrating warmth and genuine connection into every single aspect of life."

"We're so influenced by the people around us, not in a bad way, but our families, our partners, our friends. I had the space to think about what I actually wanted, what my own opinions actually were."

"It's such a safe city, repeatedly one of the safest cities in the world. I also think it's one of the most beautiful and considered cities in the world."
YOU NEVER FULLY ARRIVE: MAYA'S WELLNESS JOURNEY SO FAR
Maya grew up around these conversations before most people her age even knew how to have them, her mum a counselling therapist and her dad in the same space, so mental and physical health were just normal dinner table topics in her house.
She's finishing her business and marketing degree alongside a certificate in health and wellness coaching, but she's the first to admit she's not coming at this as an expert. "I'm not an expert, I'm not a professional," she says, and that's really the whole point of how she talks about it, honesty over authority.
She pushes back on the two extremes wellness content usually gets stuck in, the 5am club versus slow living, and the guilt loaded into both. Her own take, and the actual title of this episode, is that you never fully arrive at wellness. "There is not a single aspect of my wellbeing I've fully arrived at," she told me. "Every single aspect, there is something that I could improve on." It's less a finish line than something you keep working at, and she's building her whole platform, and her next project, around exactly that idea.
That's just a peek. The rest, you'll have to actually listen to.
