The Golden Standard: Liv Coleman on Slowing Down, Staying Grounded & Building with Intention

When you meet Liv Coleman, there’s an instant sense of calm the same energy her brand, All Things Golden, radiates. From its soft toned campaigns to its slow burn approach to growth, nothing about Liv’s world feels rushed. There’s no scramble for viral drops or high pressure hustle just a quiet commitment to creating something that feels good, looks timeless, and lasts.

When Liv joined me on Let’s Bea Frank, we went far beyond the glossy surface of success. We talked burnout, self worth, female leadership and the messy middle of turning a passion into a purpose driven business. What stood out most was how firmly she believes that doing less, but doing it well, can be the most radical business move of all.

From Side Hustle to Signature Style

Before All Things Golden became a brand recognised across Australia, it started as a one woman experiment part creative outlet, part instinct. Liv had a clear aesthetic vision relaxed yet refined but no formal roadmap. She’d worked in retail, studied graphic design and spent years quietly observing how other brands built community and loyalty. “I always had that entrepreneurial spark,” she told me.

That spark became sketches, then samples, then a small collection that grew into a full fledged label. Even as the business scaled, Liv never let it outrun its purpose. Every choice from fabrics to fitouts was filtered through her own values: slow, thoughtful and human.

In Her Bloodline

Liv’s creative instincts run deeper than her résumé they’re literally in her blood. She grew up surrounded by design, with an engineer father, an interior designer mother and grandparents on both sides who were artists. But what she discovered recently about her Lebanese heritage adds an even more poetic layer to her story.

While tracing her family history, Liv learned that her ancestors were among the first Lebanese immigrants to Australia and they went on to build one of the largest clothing manufacturing hubs in the Southern Hemisphere. “They even made uniforms during the war and donated all the proceeds back to the community,” she told me, still amazed.

It’s a full circle moment that feels almost fated. Generations later, she’s continuing a legacy of craftsmanship, creativity, and community just in a new form. “Someone once said to me, ‘fashion is either in your blood or it’s not,’” Liv shared. “And apparently, it was.”

When you look at the precision of her designs, the minimal palettes, and the human centred values that define All Things Golden, it’s hard not to see those roots shining through quietly guiding her work one stitch at a time.

The Power of Personal Growth

For Liv, personal and professional development aren’t separate journeys; they’re parallel ones. “I’ve been passionate about personal development not just professional for years,” she said. “Health and wellness are a huge part of my life, and I’ve tried to find ways to combine my two worlds.”

That balance shows in how she leads collaborative, grounded and deeply human. “I’m passionate about empowering women both personally and professionally. I do that internally with my team, but also through our wider community.”

You can feel that ethos in every corner of All Things Golden’s presence. Between minimalist campaign shots and capsule lookbooks, there are gentle reminders of self worth notes that sound more like a friend’s advice than a marketing line. “People absolutely ate them up,” she laughed. “As do I. I love writing them.”

They’re not filler content, they’re connective tissue. Tiny, intentional moments that remind you this brand isn’t selling clothes it’s sharing an energy.

Creating a Space That Feels Like You

When All Things Golden opened its first flagship store, Liv didn’t want it to feel transactional she wanted it to feel like her. “Ultimately, it was somewhere for our community to come and experience our brand values in real life. The fit out is beautiful, it smells amazing, the music’s good and the girls treat you like you’re shopping with your best friend.”

That bestfriend energy is the golden thread running through everything she builds. The space feels soft yet confident, considered yet effortless a reflection of how she approaches life.

And for Liv, getting dressed isn’t just about looking good, it’s part of her wellness practice. “Getting dressed sets the tone for your day,” she explained. “If you don’t feel good in what you wear, it can ruin your headspace.”

Evolving Beyond the Highlight Reel

One of my favourite parts of our conversation was Liv’s honesty about evolution. She’s experienced the pressure of being a founder in the digital age the unspoken expectation to constantly produce, post and perform. But instead of racing, she’s redefined success on her own terms.

“I define success as a regulated nervous system, doing what you love, evolving, having fun, and making a meaningful impact.”

It’s a definition that feels refreshingly modern rooted in alignment rather than achievement. Liv’s approach isn’t about volume, it’s about value. “When you’re living in alignment with your values and doing what you love, the rest comes naturally.”

The Balance Behind the Brand

There’s a misconception that calm founders are passive founders. Liv proves the opposite that peace and power can coexist. She’s strategic without being rigid, intuitive without being idealistic.

That balance carries into how she leads. At All Things Golden, there’s no performative girl boss culture, just mutual respect and collaboration. Liv mentors, listens and lets her team grow alongside the brand. Leadership, for her, isn’t about control it’s about connection.

And maybe that’s why All Things Golden feels less like a label and more like a community one where women evolve together, season by season.
