THE EDIT RUNWAY | MELBOURNE FASHION WEEK 2026
An exploration of Australian design through contrasting silhouettes, colour and texture.
The Edit runway at Melbourne Fashion Week 2026 brought together Australian designers with distinct approaches to contemporary dressing, moving between relaxed separates, structured tailoring, occasionwear and bridal design.
Earthy shades of chocolate, rust and terracotta featured prominently, alongside soft ivory, pale blue and sage. ASIYAM's oversized red outerwear and richly textured pieces introduced dramatic proportions, while Ngali's painterly prints and flowing fabrics brought a softer approach to the runway.
Silhouette played an important role throughout the presentation. ELIYA THE LABEL explored architectural shapes, including sculptural leather and sheer, structured detailing. Bianca Spender's softly draped designs offered a contrast, with fluid forms and understated volume.
Eveningwear introduced a more expressive palette. ATOIR presented asymmetric silhouettes, draped necklines and combinations of pastel shades, while Third Form's lace trimmed dresses and delicate fabrics brought a lighter finish.
Raffaele Ciuca Bridal delivered some of the runway's most dramatic proportions, with strapless gowns, defined bodices and expansive skirts providing a striking conclusion to the selection.
Across the show, the contrast between structure and movement remained a recurring theme, from oversized outerwear and precise tailoring to flowing fabrics and voluminous gowns.
